Bilby 1
Also known as a rabbit eared bandicoot. Rare and endangered it is found in central Australia in woodland and scrubland. They make burrows, sleeping in a nest at the end during the day and hunting for insects and plants at night. The female will carry her litter of two in her pouch for nearly 3 months. In Australia there is a movement to replace the Easter Bunny with the indigenous Bilby.
