Eastern Pygmy Possum 1

This marsupial is as small as a mouse and lives on the nectar and pollen from flowers which it helps to pollinate. They are found from the rainforests to tree heath from Southern Queensland to Tasmania. Generally nocturnal they feed no banksias, eucalypts and bottle brushes. Four or five babies can be found in the mother’s pouch in spring and summer.
