Eastern Grey Kangaroo

Eastern Grey Kangaroo

These marsupials live in a mob consisting of females and a dominant male. They graze on grassy areas in the late afternoon to early morning and rest in the shade during the day. A newborn baby is only tiny and crawls upward to attach itself to a teat in the mothers pouch. The Joey will begin to leave the pouch at 9 months and will be weaned by 18 months. These animals are common in eastern Australia.
