Echidna 1

Echidna 1

The Echidna is a monotreme whose bsbies hatch from a rubbery shelled egg and are suckled on milk in the mothers pouch. Found
all over Australia, the Echidna is covered in spines and with its long snout and tongue, and strong clawed feet, feeds on ants and termites. When threatened it will curl into a ball of radiating spines or dig into the soil, disappearing like a sinking ship.
