Koala 4

The Koala is an Australian icon living in and on a selected variety of eucalypt trees. Like other marsupials a ‘Joey’ is born at an early stage of development, fastens onto a nipple in the koala’s pouch and remains until it has fur and is ready to emerge. As gum leaves supply little energy the koala sleeps much of the time high in the trees. The koala is limited to areas where there are sufficient acceptable food trees.
