Laughing Kookaburra – the largest Kingfisher is often found in pairs and has a loud chuckling laugh usually at dawn or dusk. This is one of the most well known bush sounds. They are often seen sitting on a branch looking for lizards, snakes and other small animals and ready to dive on their prey. Nesting in a tree hollow or termite mound they live in eastern Australia.
