Peregrine Falcon

This noble bird is a most efficient hunter and the fastest of all the falcons reaching 280km/hr when swooping to take a bird in flight. It is found all over the world and is slowly recovering from near extinction is some areas. The male and female are alike in colour with the female larger in size. They prefer rocky and rugged country and build their nest as high as they can.
