Red-rumped Parrot 1

A brilliant green parrot with striking red rump. Found in pairs, small groups or large flocks they frequent open grassy and lightly timbered plains, timbered watercourses, mallee and farmlands. Nesting in hollows in eucalypt trees, their area covers inland south eastern Australia from southern Queensland through Victoria and eastern South Australia.
