Regent Bowerbird 1

A beautiful black and golden yellow rainforest bird, it prefers thickets and dense foliage. The male builds his bower with a few sticks, decorating it with green berries, leaves and cicada shells ready for display and mating. Females are mottled brown and alone rear the chicks. They feed on fruit and berries living in the forests of south east Queensland and north eastern New South Wales.
