Sulphur-crested Cockatoo 11
The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo is very common in populated areas of northern and eastern Australia. Their sulphur yellow crest is usually sleeked back, being raised when interested, alarmed or excited. Although very intelligent, they can be noisy, screeching before dawn. They feed on seeds and fruit, but when bored can be very destructive, tearing house cladding and railing with their strong beaks.
