Blue Wren Family

The Superb Blue Wren is known as a fairy wren, a tiny energetic bird nesting in low bushes. The female and young ones are both brown and buff coloured, and live in family groups with the male. They are common in undergrowth or gardens in South east Australia and Tasmania. They are very territorial and sing their patch with a lovely trilling song especially before breeding.
