Barking Owl

This medium sized owl is often revealed by its harsh barking calls sometimes during daytime. The male and female are similar with brilliant yellow eyes and yellow feet. They live in areas with stands of trees, tree-lined watercourses and paper-bark watercourses. Their diet is broad including rats, mice, bats, other birds, insects, reptiles, with anything smaller than the owl being considered prey.
