Splendid Wrens 2

The Splendid Blue Wren is known as a fairy wren, a tiny energetic bird nesting in low bushes. The female and young ones are both brown and buff coloured, and live in family groups with the male who is a more purple blue colour than the eastern Superb Wren. They are common in undergrowth or gardens around Perth, and range from south west Australia to semi arid woodlands and scrub.
